Ok, /fit/. Tell me about legumes. I know they are healthy, but I've also read they decrease test. Should I continue to include them in my meals? Your thoughts?

>>38586768
Beans don't fucking decrease test you idiot
>>38586850
So are articles like this:
https://www.anabolicmen.com/foods-that-decrease-testosterone/
just bro-science? I know how /fit/ feels about anabolicmen. I'm just asking.
>>38586768
Wow
You're a faggot
Eat your lentils and tuna bitch
Rice&beans=protein equivalent to meat

>>38588259
>>38586850
I'm just getting conflicting information. Who is right?
>>38586974
lmao that source
>>38588455
>I know how /fit/ feels about anabolicmen.
Bump. Curious as well.
>>38586974
That article references soy beans, not the rest of the legume family.
Black beans best beans. 3:1 carb : protein
>>38586974
Considering the site's name is fucking "Anabolic Men" then yeah, I am inclined to believe that it is broscience. And it talks about soy beans, not legumes in general.

Paleofags leave.

>>38591065

fruit is way way way more healthier than meat
>>38591065
no i will not, i don't eat like a pig.
>>38591075
how am I supposed to trust your opinion when you have the grammar of an eight year old?
also watch the fucking video.
>>38591065
might as well try to avoid alcohol like the plague then !
it's too much processed fructose over the year that will cause problems.
if you eat fiber with your sugar intake, or if you get it from fruit you'll have no problem.
sure if you're having redbull for breakfast every morning in the last ten years you should be worried but most people don't do this.
>>38591212
i'm actually going sober for this reason.
alcohol is the biggest gains goblin there is aside from heroin anyway.
>>38591212
if you're active processed sugar poses no problems m8 all these studies are done on obese people
>legumes
Back to France, pic related
Seriously though bioavailablility and absorption rates of this shit for protein is terrible but its good for you. Just eat a balanced diet around your bean fetish and you'll be ok.
>>38586850
Legumes are not beans. Dipshit
>>38588434
You know who is right? >>38586806 is.
READ IT MONGOLOID
I eat either red/green lentils, chick peas or black/white/kidney beans every day
who /vegetarian/ here?
Legumes are shit for macros, but I still love them. Never heard of them lowering test. I could see the phytotoxins having that effect, but if you prep the beans properly those should be neutralized.
Pros:
>tasty
>filling
>cheap
>versatile
>healthy
Cons:
>even with proper prep they can give you gas or diarrhea
>prepping dried beans is a pain in the ass
>protein is only about 40% bioavailable so they're essentially just carbs
>>38586768
Legumes are fucking awesome and you should ignore paleo people. Any real food that fits your macros is good, including white potatoes, eggs, unrefined grains etc
>>38591322
....or there's tofu
>>38591532
