I'm trying to join the Marines but I can't do more than 5 pull ups. I can run 3 miles in 30 minutes easily but crunches are a pain. Is there anyway to get 20 pullups in a month before I go to MEPS (Military Enterance Processing Station)? I can do 50 pushups in 2 minutes but pull ups are a little too extreme.

Do a pyramind work out, that's what helped me when I was trying to enlist.
Buy a pull up bar for your door frame and do a max set every time you walk by.
3 times a day do something like 1 pull up, 5 push ups, 2 pull ups, 10 push ups, etc, and then go back down. Helped me out quite a bit

My office made me do 3, meps is like 2 or something unless they changed it with the new PFT/CFT standards.

I'm in the middle of doing apps for MC OCS but I'm not sure if I actually want to go through with it. I got 18 pull ups and a 21:13 on the 3-miler. (I'm 6' at 200 lbs.) At my recruitment office we do the old test, so no push ups, but my PR is 96. OP prly just needs to just g a little more and buy a pull ups bar.

set of 1, rest, set of 2, rest set of 3, keep going up one until you cant.
then go down 1 from your maximum. Also do real pullups, palm forward, not chinups
