Yes. It's not so much about the extra 5 pounds as it is the psychological barrier of actually loading up those plates.
I tried multiple times to put up 1pl8 OHP and failed. One day I loaded it up as four 10s and one 5, and nailed it easily. After that, I was then able to do it with the 45 plates just fine.
I mean sub 4pl8 squats are fucking jokes regardless.

I squat 140 kg x5 (3pl8).
If I load 6x10kg on each side I don't even want to squat it, I don't want to accept that those puny, ashtray-sized "plates" weigh the same as my big boy plates.
