Let me start off by saying that I don't usually come to /fit/, so I have no idea if this particular topic has been discussed, an what is the general opinion about it.
I really hate to cook, and prepare food in general. I have no time, and if I cook it takes away a lot of time. I'm also poor.
Is Soylent (or similar products) a viable option health-wise?
Can I use it as a muscle gain diet, if I add more protein powder?
What is /fit/ general opinion about this kind of nutrition?
Please keep in mind that I'm poor, and have no time to cook. I know "real food" is better.

Any hydrolized food is shit for you and your stomach in the long run. Also, Soylent has an incredibly high glycemic index and several vitamin deficiencies, I will make you sick after a few months and probably diabetic in a few years.

It can be useful as an occasional meal replacement. Frequent use of it, especially over the long run, will do some very unpleasant things to your digestive system

As far as time goes, spend a few hours one day a week making cheap, filling meals. Freeze the stuff you're not going to eat right away. I've done this before, and it really clears up a lot of time throughout the week as well as making sure I eat.

Like what?
I usually go with brown rice, chicken breast and broccoli/zucchini, and i spice it with olive oil.
It tastes like shit, and the chicken goes spoiled after 2 days.
What cheap filling meals do you suggest?
Just get a pressure cooker if you don't have time. That shit is bad for you.
