Guys, I want to ask a question if there are any medfags around, while we are on topic.

I have dyspnea. Sometimes I can't inhale satisfyingly. It feels as if something around my lower ribcage is blocking me. I don't cough. But it hurts around the lower parts of my ribcage. It is mostly mild, and intensifies or decreases randomly. A few days ago it seemed to spread all the way to my right nipple, and hurt a lot. It feels as if the pain is coming from inside. When I touch my lower ribcage, I feel a purring, especially when I am laying down. And I am always fatigued.

The pain around lower ribcage has been going on for like 4 months. I went to the doctor for upper abdominal pain and bowel problems and had a CT scan done on my abdomen. It also showed the lower regions of my lungs. They found nothing except minimal liver fat, and what the doctor described as an "edema". Now, we are not native English speakers, so could she have used edema interchangably with effusion?

This sounds too much like mesothelioma to me. But I am only 20. I have no known exposure to asbestos. Who knows though?
