Pre Workout doesn't affect me
I'm 6'4, 85 kg/187 lbs and I've been going gym for over a year now however I never needed to take pre workout until recently because I've gotten lazy after my holiday.
A lot of my friends have taken ON pre workout and suggested it as a starter. Reviews were good so I said fuck it why not. First time I took 1 scoop, 2nd time 2, 3rd time 3 and still nothing.
Anyone else have this problem? Is it my genetics? Is it my height? Should I take more scoops? Sorry if these questions are stupid.
Do you drink a lot of coffee or energy drinks? If you have no caffeine tolerance already you should feel it. If you don't, you could be the rare individual that it doesn't affect.

If I never drink coffee, will pre-workout kill me?

Google those pre workouts which contains bit amphetamine, those work for sure.

I basically live off coffee........

nah. It depends on the brand, but I think ON one scoop has like 100 mg. Which is like a weak cup of coffee. Stronger pres will have like 300 mgs. >>38502165
well there you go. lol. Most of what people talk about Pre's is just from the caffeine. Some do have stuff in it like DMAA but that's rarer these days and you have to search it out. How much coffee do you drink a day? I drink about 3 big mugs in the morning. I'll take an ephedrine tab in the morning and a caffeine pill and ephedrine tab in the afternoon and if I'm still sluggish one in early evening. I make my own pre out of bulk supps i.e. beta alanine, citrulline malate, tyrosine, ALCAR with gatorade.

I drink about 2/3 cups of coffee every morning and caffeine pills later in the day depending on the situation. This has been my a part of my routine for the past 2 years and gradually I've been noticing my tolerance increasing which forced me to put more caffeine in every cup.
Should I buy a stronger pre workout, take more scoops or make it myself?
I remember the days when PWO made my skin tingle and hands numb, then i accidently started doing 800 mgs a day with a mix of pills and drinks
did it for probably 2 months and now its just not the same...
feels bad man

drink black coffee and add some creatine to your whey (or buy whey with creatine already mixed in). that's pretty much all pre-workout is - i.e. caffeine and creatine

It's a placebo effect.
Or simply a meme.
They think it helps, therefore it does help.
>tfw preworkout just gives me diarrhea
Guess it's caffeine pills and the occasional NSAID for me
