People that don't eat right and are constantly active tend to have this gaunt, drug-addict look to them, just without the sunken eyes etc.

Look up Ewan MacGregor and Robert Carlyle in the film Trainspotting for a decent reference.

They won't have very well defined musculature because they don't have a steady routine, though they'd probably have decent back/shoulder bulk from all them punches.

If he eats very little he will physicaly be very little his body will maintane a minium amount of fat from 3-8% then the rest of the callories will go in to his muscles so it realy depends how little hes consuming.
