If you don't like 'em, by all means. Cut them out of your diet completely. Potates are not all that nutritious anyways. Everything you can get from them, you can get from other food more effectively. I'm a big advocate of only eating what you actually like on any diet otherwise you'll succumb to binging or just not be happy in general.
