So how much can a fatty reasonably lose per week?
I'm at 190lbs (5'6) and I wanna get down to like 130lbs.
60lbs, 1lb a week would take a year, 2lbs a week would take 6 months.
eat 2000 calories a day. mostly protein and green veggies. no fat. calculate what you eat
take slow walks to fasten the process
start lifting to make muscles
stop worrying about unnecessary things. just start and enjoy

at least squat/do legs, especially if you're just starting out you'll be able to build muscle while losing fat which will also make it so you're more defined at a higher body fat

when u have lots to loose it doesnt matter much, and u cant go wrong with lean protein and green veggies. feelin full and satisfied will make it a sustainable life style. if u wanna loose more fat, u can cut calories a bit more accordingly. but not much. steady the better

OP, go ahead and listen to this guy if you want a "sustainable lifestyle" without losing weight. If you want to lose weight shoot for 1500 per day which is well within reasonable guidelines and should allow for 1-2 lbs lost per week.

This is my friend after 3 months of solid low calorie intake and running a few times a week. I got him down to 70kg from 105 after he came to me asking him to give him no bullshit and just help him become healthy.
He still won't eat vegetables but he's far happier with himself now.

Protein powder is not a weight loss supplement. Although it can be used as a meal replacement in a pinch.
