Maybe it never gets to 100% of what it was and it's sitting at 90% instead.
I think carb restricted (only carbs are few fruits and lots of veggies) any number of meals can work with 1 weekly fasting period is fine. You should adapt your body to be able to fast occasionally, but not be doing it every day.

It's been proven to work but it's not something people would stick too unless their lives were based on it or it was a religious thing.
