I'm so addicted to caffeine I don't feel anything unless I take like 400mg in one go. And the withdrawl for just not having any caffeine for a few hours is ridiculous. Horrible headaches, pissed off easily, etc.

I think it may be the root cause of my lethargy. I did a week-long no caffeine thing a few months back and I felt great and then I fell right back onto the train of caffeine addiction afterwards.

In the past i've held onto this belief pretty hard, and i think there's enough merit to not discredit it - but whether or not one could say something as black and white as "fat contributes to relative strength", I think could be a stretch.

I did cold turkey a few months back and somehow tanked through it despite the side effects, but as I said, it didn't last long.

I should just slowly taper it down and then end it having only 1 or 2 cups a day, one in the morning and one sometime in the afternoon before 5.

Yeah I feel you, cutting back on caffeine and the amount of times I use PWO would probably be very beneficial. Like, only take PWO on ID since that is when I'll need it the most, and the tapering off of caffeine will be sure to help boost its affects.

Do it faam, you don't even have to squat today. I only squat once or twice a week and progressing is a joke. The notion that you need to squat every session is for novice lifters and honestly counter intuitive to the deadlift for intermediate lifters like yourself.
You can do some squats for technique work but honestly I'd blow them to the side and go for a 95kg deadlift pr.

I'm not asking about cutting weight, but how do you deal with the fact that some scales have a 1-3 kg difference in the weight compared with other scales?

Is the scale the IPF uses standardized?

Are you just supposed to greatly overshoot cutting weight to make sure you weigh in correctly?

I just weighed myself on my scale and got 106 kg, but on another one, I was 109.

I am running Hepburn. I used to run the meme version of 8x2 -> 8x3, until Buda and some anons here redirected me to that myosynthesis article because those are the proper Hepburn routines. So now I am running the Hepburn B Routine (4x3 -> 10x3) in the upper-lower fashion that it was suggested.

Today was the 10x3 day and goddamn that volume was absurd. 4 and 5 triples are doable, 6 and 7 are still doable but hard and when you get to 8,9,10 you really have to struggle. It's not the weight that makes it hard, I believe it would just the same with 5kg less. It's just that you have to do 30 reps with a 75-85% weight (for comparison Prilepin's table suggests 15-18 reps as optimal).

In the end I had a huge pump and could feel the soreness all around my forearms, arms, shoulders and chest. I had to ditch the OHP entirely. I couldn't even imagine getting 5 triples, let alone another fucking 10 triples that the program was calling for.

Are there any other people that noticed the same with this program? How did you deal with it?

I was 4 months into the program with the 8x2-3 and when I transitioned I just did the first 4-10x3 with the same weight I used for the last cycle. Till now progress was consistent and didn't have to really grind and the volume was taking care of itself with the rep cycling.

The weight is pretty manageable and controllable all the way through. I actually feel I made significant progress with this cycle into getting my form better and more consistent. It's just that I couldn't handle the metabolic fatigue. In the end I had to take almost 3,5-4 minute breaks instead of the 2-2,5 usual ones and had to cut short on the pause on the chest in order to complete the workout. Kind of the same happened last workout too with 9 triples.

Hey /plg/, I come to you with a little bit of a problem, basically I am doing c6w right now and my bench and squat are doing great, but my deadlifts feel like absolute dog shit and I do not like the programming of them at all.

So here's my idea, I want to take the 2x a week Intermediate deadlift program from strength theory (pic related) and just replace every instance of deadlifting in c6w with these two days every week, except week 5 where I will just be maxing squat and bench.

Is this a good idea or should I just do the damn program?
