How the fuck do people eat >3500 calories a day?

This shit baffles me.
I have to eat exactly that amount, and even by drinking half a liter of milk a day, 150 g of oats l, 2 scoops, peanut butter and loads of other shit I stay at 3000 or less.

I even hate eating peanut butter but I eat 2 table spoons of it because I wouldn't even reach 2800.

"Oats and squats" is a meme I heard a lot on /v/, and I'm trying to find a replacement for my current snack.

Whenever I hear oats, I think of what oxen eat. Is there a certain brand or something I can google?

My maintenance is about 3000~ when on gear and am obligated to have at least 250-300g protein, its pretty annoying eating clean but at the same time its nice you get to eat so much.

People have mentioned nuts and that's a great one to have as a calorie dense snack, OP.
Walnuts for example are 210 calories for 1/4 a cup. You get healthy fats, vitamin E, omega 3 and protein from it and it's a large amount of calories for such a small amount of food.

I'd say cheese is another decent option. Depending on the type, it could be 80-110 calories for a single slice. It's pretty much a cup of milk in one slice, but I still wouldn't go overboard with it.

Do you not make smoothies? It's the easiest way to down a lot of calories and vitamins in one go and can really add up. Throw in milk, frozen banana, cherries, kale, chocolate whey protein and you've got 600 calories or more if you add more than one scoop of whey. Hell, you can throw in the walnuts or even the peanut butter you don't enjoy on its own.

i eat 400 grams of rice every day in two meals. its way easier for me than oats. oats are a bit too filling IMO. so, if possible, do that.

you should strive to eat more carbs rather than just calories. it's way more efficient in terms of recovery and performance than just eating for calories and getting shitloads of fats, provided you get enough fats (and protein) already. like 1g/kg of fats and 2.5g/kg of protons.

I was always a 'hardgainer' until I learned that you need to cook recipes. The recipes can be simple but you gotta make tasty foods to eat loads.

Also IFFYM helps (if it fits your macros). EG if you gotta eat 400g carbs, get 200-300 from pasta/rice/whatever + sauce and meat and veg and oil and spices, and the remaining from ice cream/sweets/biscuits/whatever treat you want.

One of my easymode high carb recipes is blended frozen pineapple + apple, and use it as 'milk' for muesli.

If you cannot cook for shit, four tins of tuna on four slices of bread with a drizzle of your sauce of choice on top. I'm partial to sriracha or mustard.

If you trust yourself around cookware, a pasta dish with 400 grams of minced meat worth of meatballs. If you really wanna pile on the calories, make a huge pasta dish and use sardines instead of meat, filling the sauce with delicious olives and capers. Or about 400 grams of minced meat beat into burgers (Makes 3 patties), grilled and served with some buns and your favourite toppings. These dishes can all be done in about 10-20 minutes.
You could also make a pizza and top it with whatever. A little bit of prep work, but they can easily be around 2200 calories without much effort.
Make a good white wine sauce and pour it over 500 grams of butter-and-white-wine-poached cod with some rice (You're gonna need a fair bit of sauce or rice, or even more fish, as the fish is only about 410 kcal)

Whole Grain Pasta is cheap as fuck and calorie dense, throw that in with protons of your choosing, you can do shrimp, fish, chicken, beef, pork, literally any of them. Again, you have the option for veggies, as long as you're eating appropriately sized portions its not hard to hit 1000 calories

Desert - 200g greek yoghurt with 1 tbps peanut butter, 20g crumbled dark chocolate and 1 scoop.

Supper - 2x rice cakes with 20g cream cheese and 30g salmon each. snack on sliced fruit of choice (I like mangos and peaches).


This is roughly my 4000cal diet. Its slightly off since I often throw in half a protein flapjack or another protein shake to make up cals depending on what im eating in certain meals. But yeah.

And it's not another meal really. It's just eggs, so you just be normal and add two eggs each day. Doesn't work? add two more. If you add six eggs to your current daily intake and still don't see weight gain then that means you're dropping calories elsewhere.

Look at your eating habit and place the eggs where you miss calories. For me I miss breakfast a lot. So I absolutely force myself to have one hard boiled egg every single morning. One ain't a lot, but it's a shit ton more than nothing. Then also between lunch and dinner I miss food so I have two hard boiled eggs around 4ish usually. If im up two or three hours after dinner I'll have one or two then as well.

If you can afford it, snack on nuts. Use extra oil when you're cooking. Grate some cheese on your meals. Have a second protein shake, they're about 500cal with whole milk and 2 scoops of brotein. Bake some protein brownies and have a couple a day. Eat tinned tuna with oil, not spring water.
