I use a body hair trimmer. If I shave my legs, then I have unsightly and irritating stubble a few days later, meaning I have to shave my legs several times a week. I am not a woman.

Trimming is better than shaving/waxing in every way possible, unless you're an Olympic swimmer or some shit and you need to have zero body hair for performance reasons.

Even if you're extremely hairy then do as OP said and trim, not shave. Only thing that should be shaven is your face, and that's all personal preference.

Feels too good

There's a guy at my gym with the biggest, smoothest legs that I just can't help but stare at every time. They never even have a little bit of fuzz on them so I'm starting to wonder if they're naturally that smooth or if he shaves like every other day.

Don't know about for the gym, but if you're gonna be taping or icing your legs regularly, shaving is amazing. Maybe if you're having trouble with the bar rubbing during cleans or something.

I shave because i run trails and it's a lot easier to tape/icyhot/aloe/bandaid/etc a bare leg.

I like the feeling, but it feels like too much work so I don't bother with it.
I also feel like my shaving cream is too fine to "waste" on my legs.
When I do shave them, I first trim to 3mm with a hair trimmer, and then I run over it with a shavette.
I usually can't stand the shavette, but since legs are so much easier to shave than face or 'pits or groin, and unlike my DE razor (or heavens forbid, cartridges) it doesn't jam up when it gets full of hair.

Waxing keeps them smooth for a fairly long time

I shave about once every two weeks in summer, once a month in winter. The hair on my legs is thick enough that I feel the heat when I run in summer if I let it go. In winter, running tights feel better over smoother skin than over fur.
