Who can actually 1/2/3/4? Lots of people talk about it and claim it, but I would like to see how many of you fags actually can. Here's the poll and 1 rep counts.

http://www.strawpoll.me/10875587
>>
I can rep them all for at least 8.
>>
>>38117798
if u spent less time making stupid polls and more time eating right, sleeping right and lifting hard, you'd be at 1/2/3/4

and you wouldnt have to make these silly posts.
>>
>>38117798
Count me in for a yes, 1100 total at 170lbs come at me
>>
In terms of difficulty

3 > 2 > 4 > 1
The gf one relies more on personality wise
>>
>>38117839
Nice work, how long did it take you?
>>
In order from easiest to hardest:
> Overhead press
> Bench press
> Squat
> Deadlift
> Gf
>>
>>38117798
I just recently hit it. I'm 6'8 and my deadlift was at 4pl8s months before anything else. 2pl8 bench took the longest but it only took like 4 months of serious dedication to the squat and bench to get them up.
>>
>>38117798
squat. My proportions suck. Deadlift was the easiest.
>>
despite all the /fit/ shitposting, I have NEVER seen anyone pull 4 plates at my gym, and I've seen dudes bigger/more aesthetic than pretty much anyone I've ever seen on /fit/.

1/2/3/4 is a meme, strength base is a meme, do your splits retards
>>
>>38117861
Ehhh.. I lifted for about 2 years and I had never done a squat or deadlift in my life.

Summer 2014 i started stronglifts with empty bar. By about august 2015 I had 1/2/3/4

I'm aiming for 3/4/5 by end of 2016. I kinda gave up on ohp because i'm weak
>>
>>38117944

>>
>>38117944

>>
>>38118033
what you have is shit squat form/not even going parallel
>>
For me it was 3>1>4>2 when I was able to hit them all for 5
>>
>>38118057
Or could it maybe be that I have shit deadlift form? I know my squat form is better than most and I go to parallel. Squat feels so natural and deadlift feels about as natural as dribbling an American football.
>>
I can do 1pl8 OHP for 1 rep. But it's much higher than my other lifts.
So I guess gf?
>>
>>38118033
Do you use chalk? I have very sweaty hands and I couldn't deadlift more than I squatted until I started using chalk. Consider getting chalk if grip is your problem.

how long is the progress for OHP? i've started taking lifting/eating/sleeping more serious past 2 months and managed to get up to around 25 lbs and 8 reps with good form

i heard progress is killer
>>
>>38117798
I do:
2/5/4/5
>>
>>38117798

I can do 1/2/3/4 for 20-30 reps currently.

My total is 725 kg (1600 lbs), but I'm always impressed in my commercial gym when I see people do 1/2/3/4 because it's a solid milestone.

I am stronger than most people in my commercial gym, but my powerlifting gym is pretty crazy. 19 year old dude who is 100kg natty and lean deadlifted 8 plates the other day. It's pretty fun to train with really strong people, and there's a lot of intensity and encouragement from other members. Feels more like hanging out with your friends than it does training in a gym sometimes.
>>

I've been lifting for 2.5 years, but deadlifted for the first time like 3 weeks ago. I do lmao2pl8 already and it isn't that hard, I don't see how attaining 3 plate should be difficult in a normal amount of training time
>>
I got 1/2/3/4 a couple months ago. Ended up getting OHP and Bench first, since I had a back injury that kept me from lifting heavy for a month and a half. Squat and diddly caught up quickly though once it healed, especially the squat.

The squat is the odd man out in the 1/2/3/4 mark IMO, it was way easier to squat 315 than dead 405 or bench 225. OHP you just gotta keep at it and make do with tiny gains, until you realize one day you are close to the goal.

In terms of difficulty:

1 > 4 > 2 >> 3 >> gf
>>
gf >>> 2 > 4 > 3 > 1
>>
>>38117798
Back when I lifted, I got bench first then the OHP later that summer. (Peaked around 265 squat and 325 dead) Afterwards, I got a gf and thoroughly into drugs.

Now I can't lift shit but most of the mass is still here.
>>

>>
>>38119162

Nah he is, he is going to go for the jr IPF world record this year, we are an IPF affiliated gym. He just needs to actually compete, I'm not sure why he didn't go to worlds this year.

>>38119175

A few times I've just decided to go all out for fun with different numbers. The only one I've hit for 30 reps is a 2 plate bench though, the others all fall somewhere in the 20's when I try them (OHP being the lowest with exactly 20...)

>>38119211

>>
I can OHP 65kg easily yet my bench is stuck at 80kg. I have no idea why my bench is so laughably terrible.

I can also squat 3 plate and deadlift a little less than 4 plate, but easily and for reps. I'll be repping four plate DL in about three weeks.

That's because you train at a gym marketed towards dyels. "At my gym x therefore y" is foolish reasoning because there is a large spectrum between planet fitness style NYR con jobs and Westside Barbell. If you think 1/2/3/4 is hard your gym just falls closer to the dyel side, and that's fine. I total 1320 and I realize I'm a fucking nobody because pic related is on the wall in my gym and those people are training around you. If you based your opinion purely on what you see at my gym this thread would be about how long it took you to get to 3/4/5 and you would be shocked that any adult male couldn't squat 4pl8 because you see it happen every time you go to the gym.

That's solid, chuck a belt on and do it fresh and I reckon you could do it no problem.

I mean, if you want to for whatever reason. 20 rep deadlifts do feel like shit lol.
>>
>>38120471
I'm currently doing an 8 week programme to get my dead up to 600, I'll try after that. High rep deadlifts are fucking grim, especially beltless because my abs start cramping up past 8 or 9 reps
>>
I was able to do 1/2 after 7 months of lifting daily. No squat and deadlift for me though.
>>
3 plate squat defiantly.

Unless you cheat and do low bar to parallel with a belt and knee trampolines rather than high bar, then it is the easiest.

Technically more demanding than any of the other lifts mentioned and regardless if the individual is built to squat he'll usually hit the other lifts first.
>>
>>38117798

>1 plate ohp
This is actually very hard. I doubt many posters here ohp 1 plate for more than 2-3 reps.

>2plate bench
This isn't hard at all on the other hand. The average gymrat can do it easily, and in fact they do way more than that(chest /bis everyday bro)

>3 plate squat
This isn't that hard unless you weigh 60 kg but it does take some time to do it properly.

>4 plate deadlift
This is elite-level weight.

Basically this list is pretty fucked and you should do one of these 4 as a base excersise and fill the rest of the workout with isolations/abs and other shit.

It took me longest to get a 4pl8 deadlift.
The other three I got around the same time.
>>
For me bench was the easiest, I can rep 2 plus easily, hope to be at 3 soon. OHP seemed easy to, I was able to get 1plt with out lifting prior cause my bench was so high, but it seems to be the slowest progressing. I'm close to 3plt squat, hopefully will get it next week. 4plt diddy I'm the farthest from. Almost so at 3 1/2 plt

I think the thing alot of people forget is there is a positive correlation between body weight and possible weight you can lift once you're decently trained. It it much harder for a guy that weights 145lbs to hit 1/2/3/4 than it is for a guy who weights 250lbs. I don't understand why everyone pretends lifting is the same across all people.
>>
So 70% of /fit/ is completely dyel
>>
>>38128712
this

Guys come here on /fit/ and brag about how quickly they hit 1/2/3/4 then you ask them their bodyweight and they say "I'm just 5'10 105kg lad".

I started as a 5'8'' 57kg skelly so it makes me salty seeing people way out of my weight class just ramping up the weight of their lifts like nothing.

Still haven't hit 1/2/3/4 after 10 months but I'm trying fucking hard
>>
>>38128728
No, 70% of /fit/ is a normal person whose been training for > 2 years. Lifting takes time, no matter what some anonymous person on the internet tells you. Contrary to what people like to say, most people here aren't 225 lean 6'3.

Yeah fucked that up, < 2 years.

Sure, if you want to live in /fit/'s fantasy land definitions.

Are your numbers really un-symmetric or are mine? I've been cutting for a little over a year, and have been doing the major compounds for anywhere between 4-6 months of that year and am at .7/1/2/3. In any case, I know them feels familia. I'm pretty much at my goal weight, so I'm just waiting until it gets a bit colder so I can start my first bulk and (hopefully) start pushing my lifts more aggressively.
>>
>>38128835
Not squatting or deadlifting is fine, if you can bench 3 plates.
>>
What is considered 3.5 plates?
365 OR 360?
>>
>>38117798
haven't even tried doing any of those cause i'm skeletal as fuck but I still got gf, so that one's definitely the easiest one.

and by skeletal I mean super skeletal. 6ft 100lb
>>
>>38128835
Shame bro.
Ignore these other cucks.

Your bench is amazing. Real good.

But squat/DL adds more than just mass.
Those core muscles, man.
They don't target them but they're involved, especially with deadlifts.

Nothing feels better than having a strong back.
Your posture improves and you feel better if you have sit in a chair all day at work.

You should be proud of your bench. That's good shit.
But you should try to work your back/core.
It helps you in the ways you don't even realize.
>>
>>38128939
How are you alive?
You're probably just exaggerating.
I was 6' 135lb and looked liked an Auschwitz victim.
35 lbs less and I'd be literally dead.

But you can start with just the bar. Skelley like you, that's fine.
Might have trouble with OHP, but you can just do one handed overhead presses to work it up.

Never think you're too small to start. It feels doubly good because you'll gain like a mad man for many months.
>>
>>38129013
No exaggerations, I have marfans and this other shit that doesn't let me digest proteins well. I still lift though but nothing significant, though mostly just because it's fun.
>>
I'm 2/3/4/5

I'm kind of curious how many of us there are on /fit/ desu.
>>
>>38129037
Sympathy with your Marfan's bro.
I got weak joints, like all around.
If you start lifting you're gonna feel it too.

Go though. Start low but keep going. You'll be surprised about how quick you go up.
The lower you start, the faster you gain.
I'm no physio but I've heard that working muscles is the best way to make up for bad joints.
It's helped me so far. Maybe it can help you.

lol can 1 plaet 2 plaet cant hit three and four though.

Depends, is it yellow or blue?
>>
>>38133326
Green
>>
>>38117798
the polls not detailed.
I can 1.5/2.5/2/4
Based torn meniscus and dislocating shoulders.
>>
Yall are some strong ass motherfuckers.

I can 1 plate OHP for 3 MAYBE 4 when I'm fresh
Same thing for a 2 plate bench
I can do 6 reps of 3 plate squat with mediocre tp acceptable form, maybe 2 reps with impeccable form.

But how in the fuck do you get a 4 plate deadlift without hurting yourself? I've done 345 deadlift once for 5 reps but the hardest part is getting that shit off the ground without throwing my back out. The reps after that are easier. I'd be so scared to try to pick up a 4 plate bar
>>
>>38136312
Deadlift with your legs not your back.
>>
>>38121215
> This is elite-level weight.

depends on what weight you are.
>>
>>38136339
I mean that's the golden rule for deadlifts but even still I try to grab the bar, look straight forward, arch my back so it's not curving, then try to just perform a squat, but what happens is I get noticeable strain on my lower back even still
>>
>>38131562
20kg or 45lbs.

In my gym -
red plate = 25kgs
blue = 20kgs
yellow = 15kgs
green = 10kgs
>>
½/1/2/3 here, lifting since January ... I'm on my way
>>
Can do:

Almost 1
1 1/2
1 1/2
3

Why is my squat max so garbage /fit/ ? Any way to fix this issue?
>>
>>38117851
3>1>2>4 for me. Deadlifts are easy with long arms but bench and ohp are didicult. I also have long legs so squat are the worst. Still csn rep 315 for 1 though

I'm a tall guy too but for me it's 2>1>3>4.
Bench has always been super easy for me I can rep 2 plates over 10 times, OHP I got 1plt on first try, squats have always been tough but almost at 3plts, and dead lifts are just too tough cause my grip sux and I hate reverse grip with a passion
>>
Are these 1rms?
>>
>>38140216
No. If someone says they have a 2pl8 bench (for example), that means they do at least one set of 10+ reps with 2pl8 as part of their warmup.
>>
>>38119123
Total lie... do you even know natty strength limit..
>>
I hit 3pl8 bench and just under 2pl8 ohp before 3pl8 squat cause my hips r fukd up
>>
>>38117798
I was right at a 1/2/3/4 before I started my cut a couple months ago. Now I'm a bit off with each lift. I might be able to still get the 1/2 in perfect conditions though.
>>
>>38140216
Na man, most consider being able to get it 5 times as enough.
>>
>>38117851
3 plate squat is the first i hit

i have yet to hit all the others, and im missing a whole plate on my deadlift

Ok honestly, if you weigh at least 175 lbs or more and lift consistently you should be able to do this.
I weigh a consistant 200 lbs at 5'11 and can get 2/3/4/ (Almost 5). This is some easy shit.
