Are warmups really just one big meme?
I've heard that they don't really make THAT much of a difference when it comes to preventing injury. Sure, some 10 minute cardio could be good, but it's not like you're going to destroy your back and tear your biceps by lifting without doing 16,000,000 minutes of warmups beforehand.
Put on your working weight for deadlifts and try to lift it without any warmup, that's why warmups are important.

Huh, good point.

warm-ups make you pumped - literally, they bring blood to the muscles that helps you lift
also, they prepare you mentally for the weight
and if you are feeling like shit one day, you'll find out during the warm-up, not when you try to do your max and fail
I love warming up, I could spend 3 hours in the gym because of excessively warming up EVERYTHING

>and if you are feeling like shit one day, you'll find out during the warm-up, not when you try to do your max and fail
I've set many PRs on days where my warmups felt like garbage

I hurt my back on one day my DL warm-ups felt like garbage
Did you ever see a lion limber up before raping a gazelle?

>human muscles and animal muscles are completely the same
>>38060101
But that's just because animals are stupid and don't understand the benefits of warning up.

Obviously they are faggot. I eat grass everyday and i'm 120kg at 8% bodyfat.
>>38060101
have you ever seen lion deadlifting?
>>38060113
>humans are aliens
>humans are glorified animals
Pick... Two.

I'm witnessing said phenomenon right now.

Alan Thrall's warm up is great and lets me lift without a great deal of discomfort. However I am already fucked up from Muay Thai and Rugby. If you not messed up you don't need excessive warm ups.
