I've finished my cut at the end of may at 139 lbs and i was eating around maintnence calories for 2 months. My weight has been fluctuating around 143-145 lbs (depending on how much i ate) but the day after i got diahrrea i saw 139 lbs on the scale again so that was only food and water. My lifts increased a bit during those 2 months but im stalling on ohp. Should i increase my calories and enjoy my time at the gym or waste even more time and wait another month to see if i will get stronger?

i went full dreamer before so now im very conscious about my food intake and i don't know what to do right now. Eating 2400 cals at the moment. Natty or not you can't avoid getting bit of fat while bulking but im fucking terrified to gain weight now.

there was a guy on bb.com forums named Dreamer and he was "bulking" eating like 10 meals a day while most of them was some shitty chicken flavoured rice loaded with sodium. He gained nothing but fat and water.

Now when someone is eating everything in sight while bulking it's called "dreamer bulk"

Listen very carefully. Bulking past 15% bodyfat is completely useless. If you aren't below 15% now, cut until you are. All you have to do is fluctuate between 10-12% to 15% respectively in order to increase size. depending on what you're doing, it should be 2 week cut one week maintenance and repeat until desired BF% is achieved, and do the reverse if you want to gain. Very slow and steady loss and gain will result in quality mass while staying lean and looking good. I've gained over 25 pounds of lean bodymass in a little over 3 years all while staying below 12% BF.

If you fall for the extreme bulk meme you will never add quality mass and you will hate your life all the time because you're A: bulking and look like shit or B: extreme cut with strict diet.

Pic related is me at the very peak of my bulk at 154 lbs 5'7" around 7 months ago.

Not OP, starting my first bulk and have a lot of questions.

I've been eating 1500 calories a day for maintenance
if I jack it up to 3000 calories/day + do resistance exercises daily (primarily resistance bands & body weight, including dead lifts, squats, planks, and isolation stuff for arms & legs), can I expect to make gains without getting fat? I work a job that requires 2-6 miles of waking 4 nights a week.
Thanks for any advice, I want to get strong and I know I've got to eat big to get big but I don't want to get fat again (used to be 150lbs, lost it with calorie counting and cardio)

The walking would only burn 350 calories maximum at 4 miles. Add on 220 calories from lifting weights, and you're looking at 2600 calories a day.

TDEE puts your maintenance at 2056 including the exercise, so going by the rule to add on 500 calories when bulking, it would be 2600 a day.

Thanks a lot. I fucked up, I'm not lifting every day, I should have said "every day that I exercise" which is probably 3 or 4 days a week.
2600 seems a more do-able goal than 3000 so I'm glad for that. Thanks for checking my work.
