Hey /fit/, I started working out about 1 month ago and, while I know it's unreasonable to expect any significant gains in that time, I'm wondering if my routine is even effective. One of the guys at the gym gave it to me on the first day and I've been doing it every other day. Anything I should change?
Workout:
3x10 Leg Press 100lbs
3x10 Wide Lat Pull-Downs 70lbs
3x10 Chest Press 25lbs each side
3x10 Goblet Squats 20lbs
3x10 Seated Cable Rows 70lbs
3x10 Leg Curls 50lbs
3x10 Tricep Rope Extensions 40lbs
3x10 Seated bicep curl 32.5lbs

I shaved 3 minutes off of my 2 mile time in 18 days. Define gains.

I did read the sticky. I didn't see shit about modifying a workout

generally it's not for modifying something you come up with yourself, it's for giving you a program that has been proven to work.

Actually one of the guys at the gym made it for me so that's why I'm a bit conflicted

Guy who works there or just some guy?
Honestly either way, this could be a lot better. There's nothing in here for shoulders, for example.

He works there

Squats, deadlifts, overhead press, bench press, pull-ups, some isolation for arms and you are good to go. To srart, at least.
