How do you get the motivation to work out by yourself? I wanna ride a bike outside to get some sort of exercise but my public fears are getting in the way. I'm a little overweight in the stomache and underweight everywhere else. for 170pds 5'11 male.
I run early in the morning or late at night when there's not that many people around
Fix your mental illness then get fit after. Getting fit isn't going to make you less socially awkward , you'll just be a /fit/ sperg. Just look around here there are guys on here that squat 315 and still too afraid to ask a stranger for a spot.

I started taking celexa last week so hopefully that does something. I'm never gonna feel better if I don't force myself to leave the house and go outside though. Plus I used to work out and I feel better about myself when/after working out. I just need some tips on how to how to keep my mind focused. Maybe I just gotta do it.

I started biking myself a few weeks ago. I had been wanting to do it for awhile. I don't know what else to say than just fucking go do it, and fuck what anybody else thinks.

This is a major problem that doesn't help my situation. I live in one of the biggest cities in the U.S so even if I just leave the house there's ant swarms of people everywhere all day.

20 years of regular exercise means I need a reason not to work out, not a reason to work out. Learn some discipline.

That's whats up. Do you listen to music while biking?

Reminds me of AA meetings. "I got 20 years clean, why you feel so sick day 1 clean"

Here's what you do: next time you think to your self "I should go exercise", stop your thought process right there. Go put on your workout clothes, grab your bike, and get out onto the sidewalk. Now you can start thinking again.
Oh look at that! Now you'll look like a fucking idiot if you don't exercise.
Repeat until you've desensitized yourself of the anxiety of going out.

No. I'm still kind of inexperienced at it so I prefer to be able to hear what's going on around me.
