How long has this been going on? Do you have any past history of sores or anything wrong with your mouth? Has it got any better in the last few weeks? Have you changed you diet or habits recently? Do you drink or smoke? Does anything make it better or worse?

Could be a citrus/acidic food burn.

Eaten any raw lemons/lemon juice or something similar lately? If I get a really acidic lemon and eat it on its own that can happen to my tongue sometimes.
