If you're looking for metcon to burn fat, treat the dumbbells more like kettlebells, I.e. high rep ballistic movements like swings, clean and press, high pulls and snatch.
Do a few sets of 20 snatches, from the ground each time, with your heaviest dumbbells and tell me how you feel
