They are fine. Use them to assist you but don't rely on them and use them all the time.
I wrap up when going for a 1rm for the first few times but don't consider it as a new pb until I do it without.
If you don't know if you need wraps then you don't need them, and if you're afraid of looking for like pussy then you lift pussy weight

Well I used to think so, untill I broke my wrists 3 times and strained my ulnar nerve a bunch of times too
They really don't help you lift more at all, I just use them for all my heaviest sets now to protect my wrist health

Use them for my heaviest sets only, I normally do around 5 back off sets and I take them off for that.
Bench has been going up and I have zero wrist pain anymore.
