How does /fit/ figure his maintenance calories?
I mean, there are fuckloads of calcs available online and it looks like each and every one gives different results.
I've read some articles saying the best estimation is actually calculating your weight in lb x 14-16.
I've been using this method with a reasonable surplus of 300cals and I managed to put on weight.
But I'm quite curious on how /fit/ figures it out, and I mean a baseline, it's quite obvious you'll need to actually track your weight to adjust accordingly.
i just used the one in the sticky
You basically just answered your own question. Get an estimate from a calculator (doesn't really matter which one, it's just an estimate anyway) then observe what actually happens to your weight over time and adjust accordingly.

Don't fucking bitches count calories? God.

Isn't the one in the sticky a bit of an overestimation?
I mean, the maintenance it gives me is about 300 more cals than what I'm eating atm (with a 300cal surplus.)
