I do it. But I never had a problem with missing meals. I feel worse when I do eat in the morning and lunch. I think 1000 is too few calories though. If you workout before you break the fast the results should be no less than 500 calories and no more than 1000 in deficits after you eat.

If you want to shed fat fast, try ketho or a slow carb diet, better than starving yourself. Keto isn't good for long time, but short term you will shed fat and water pretty well.
