Small world - I bet I know whoever coached you as I'm pretty familiar with the scene there (I did undergrad at Edinburgh). The thing about rowing in the UK is that a lot of people, myself included, started when they were 13 or so, so I can understand the program not being suited to you if you are a walk-on. Things are better in the American colleges I have experienced, but in general amateur Americans have shit technique so...

HRR is pretty fun though. I assume you were in the PA? If I see you there this year I will play that supermang audio clip on my speakers at full volume :^)
