I don't know, it just seems logical to me that high frequency would be a smart way to train because of how other skilled athletes and performers train.

For example a skateboarder doesn't practise 3x a week an hour at a time. Usually he'll go out daily and practise some hard techniques for a little while, but not to over exert himself.

I know these are two vastly different sports, but it's a common theme in most sports and logically it makes sense that practise leads to specialisation.

How so? Isn't Norris's highest squat in or out of meet 332kg? Clarence's 300kg is paused highbar and ATG at similar weight. Of course if you're comparing lifts then competition whitelighted weight is what matters, but Clarence doesn't compete nor train PL, so it's not fair to compare that to PL adherence.

While that is a huge difference, you have to realize that no comparison is valid between Clarence and him if you adhere to PL judging. Norris's volume and consequent fatigue undoubtedly consists largely of competition movements, while Clarence's consist of Olympic movements and variation in addition to squat. I'm sure if Clarence were to focus squat as a primary movement, he'd be able to bridge the gap nearer. If you disagree, than I wonder why make the comparison in the first place?
