doing my first real bulk after working out for a while.

how do you deal with the shitty feelings of getting fatter? I'm starting to notice love handles and it feels so wrong.

I was a fatty as a kid and I'm getting flashbacks. I keep telling myself to not be a pussy.

I thought it was always supposed to be a constant up and down thing. bulk then cut then bulk then cut.

lean mass grows slower than fat mass comes off. that's what i meant by inverse. if you're seeing a lot of fat being stored on your body it means you're eating too much. your body isn't able to use the extra calories to grow lean mass so it's storing it. slow down a bit with the eating and you'll be fine.

as far as bulking up, cutting down...yeah, it's a cycle. you can make it easier by not bulking too hard or dirty bulking. you'll have less to cut when it comes time for that. add fat and mass then shave off fat, rinse and repeat.

not sure how constant you think it's supposed to happen, but most guys i know only do it once a year (bulk for 3-6 months, cut for a few moths, reset, repeat)

thanks nig. so far I've been bulking for 4 months and went from 180lbs to 190lbs. I can definitely see more muscle in these 4 months than I saw in the past 8 or so that I was just eating normal. I figured I'd go for a 6 months bulk but I'm probably gonna eat less. what about adding in cardio. jogging 4 times a week for 39 minutes.
