>tfw no matter how many years I lift I'll always look like shit until I stop half assing my
diet.
When I started lifting 5 years ago I thought I'd eventually just transform into being muscular and lean.
I got the muscular part down just not that lean.
Similar situation here, I can see a bit of my upper abs but eating is by far one of the most pleasent things that exist so restraining it doesn't appeal to me. Don't get my wrong, I eat healthy, sugar not even once, flour very rarely, just veggies, meat, fruits and nuts but I eat a bunch of them all.

are you atleast not gaining fat? if you're not gaining fat just add cardio on the side without changing your eating habits
There's 2 ways to create a dietary defecit and hey why not build some stamina while you're at it

I know this feel man
I just started counting my cals 6 months ago and the transformation i'm seeing is kinda making me depressed. If I had just done this years ago, maybe I would have had more confidence and gotten more attention from girls in highschool

People have been getting fat from high sugar diets way before processed sugar.
The best I ever looked was when I was eating 2,200 to 2,400 calories a day and doing 30minutes of cardio a day. I had abs, was still muscular, and just had an overall solid physique.I stopped counting calories about 1.5 years ago and since then I've become chubby and now have a gut and can barely see my abs unless its in good lighting.
Counting calories and weighing all my food out is such a fucking drainer though :(
Just started Monday myself. I joined the gym and went off and on (horrible consistency) and have lost about twenty pounds since then, but it started making me sick not being actually committed because I wanna see results so trying to be consistent. Here's yesterday. I accidently didn't eat enough. Basically my thing is just not eating out and weighing out the portions.
I cook well so it's not really an issue. Also I think I have a drinking problem and it's the only thing keeping me in check atm. Putting them in the app makes it feel like a game.
