I just turned 18 and I've decided to stop fucking around. I've been running a shitty bro split for 2.5 months and my lifts are (all 5x5) -

170 DL
180 Squat
135 Bench
130 Row
90 OHP

Is SL 5x5 a meme? I'm looking for a program that will allow me to build a base good enough to start lifting seriously. Would a basic PPL work fine, with progressive overload? Srs

75 bench to 155 bench
95 squat to 295 squat
95 deadlift to 255 deadlift
65 ohp to 115 ohp
75 row to 115 row

that's about 6 months progress, also lost 62 pounds.

Looks like I'm starting SL, it's telling me to start way lower than I can do though. Should I stick with that or lift what I currently lift?

i went in the first day and just started with what i thought i could do, i spent the 10 bucks to get the accessory lifts as well on the app.

definitely go in there and do what you think is reasonable to start with. desu i'd start lower than what you think you can do, focus on form, watch some videos and then progress from there.

this way you'll get stronger and won't get injured. good luck, we're all gonna make it.
