I only have 1kg dumbbels at home so I just do hundreds of curls while browsing /fit/ and alternating between hands
do 1kg curls do anything at all? I know it won't do as much as heavier weights but I'm not completely wasting my time am I

you are indeed wasting your time. completely.
unless you are training to become the man who can curl 1kgs a million times in an hour

in all seriousness, I know I'm not gonna get big by spending all day shitposting on /fit/ while doing curls but it does build the tiniest bit of muscle right?
somebody answer por favor

Não.

Get heavier weights but do smaller reps.
You're effectively doing nothing.

You're wasting your time. Everyone has told you that, the question has been answered. No muscle will be built because that is insufficient weight to stress the muscle enough to cause microtears. We're all gonna tell you the same thing.

I used to be in the same situation with 1.5 kg dumbells, I went up to 400 reps before realising I had no arms yet and it is bullshit, I did sweet a lot so I guess at some point it becomes cardio, it did help me to start losing weight trough but you're better with bodyweight stuff

If it's doing anything it's building muscular endurance but even then that many reps is overkill.

At the very least fill a backpack with some water bottles and curl that for fucks sake.

You are literally just burning calories. And not many of them. Deathgrip self service alternating hands all day would likely build better arms and get you moar shredded
