>counting calories
>weigh eggs
>55-62 grams
>MFP has 50g or 65g
>>36741299
eggshell doesn't count dumbass
>>36741299
being this much autistic
Eggweight isn't your biggest problem
>>36741299
you're literally being autistic about it
Why would you weigh eggs when nutrional label is on csrton of eggs
On average eggs are 70 calories
>>36741307
>crack 4 eggs into a bowl
>bowl itself is 400g
>weighs 600g after
blew my mind desu thanks senpai
>>36741364
well i just wanted to more accurately do it, I just got the scale so i'm having fun with it desu
I'm just autistic and weighing everything right now, s-sorry
>>36741299
55g = 110% of a 50g portion
use 1.1 portions
anyway, manually input the values if your nutritional facts differ from the ones in MFP (there's a lot of not-autistically-enough nutritional facts in the not-certified values)
Phases of eating
>noob, eat whatever but mostly clean
>fall for the dirty bulking scam
>cut and become autistic about tracking macros
>maintain for awhile without tracking macros just track calories loosely
>use common sense again and become good at eyeballing shit
Something like that, this macro phase for lifters is terrible
So an egg weighs 50 grams.
140 calories per 100g of eggs
12g of proteins per 100g of eggs
So an egg is about 50 calories and 6g of protein.
This is fucking nothing. I need 180g of protein a day and even a whole carton of eggs won't get me what I need.
>>36741530
>I need 180 grams of protein a day
Lmao
>>36741530
>180g protein/day
Are you training for Mr. Universe and your current weight is 117 kg @ 15% bf?
>>36741610
I'm 180lbs. 1g per lbs of bw
>>36741644
>le 1g per lbs meme
Jesus. Go read http://bayesianbodybuilding.com/the-myth-of-1glb-optimal-protein-intake-for-bodybuilders/
You're wrong. Assuming you're 15% bf, 153 lean body mass = 69.4 kg
A strengh athlete won't be able to use more than 69.4*1.8 = 124.92g
You are *not* a strength athlete, just a random guy who hits the gym less than 5 times/week. You won't benefit from anything more than 69.4*1.4=97g
Also, if you have just three meals/day, 90g is the *maximum* your body can use for muscle synthesis.
>>36741716
Once I started making absolutely sure I got 1g of protein per lb of BW, I started making weekly progress again.
>>36741763
You made sure you ate maintenance calories or more and made gains? Woooow
>>36741861
That's not even what he said
>>36741763
Scientifically speaking, that's not because you ate 1 g protein x lb. Without knowing your training, how many times per week you hit the gym, your height, your age and your bf nobody can't tell why you "noticed progress" (after a plateau? as a noob? who knows). Maybe you weren't counting calories correctly as >>36741861 may have somehow implied or maybe you ate incomplete proteins - for sure you won't need 1g of protein of lb bw, no matter how hard you try to anecdotally meme on dismantled broscience.
>>36741299
My mfp lets you choose 1g portions for almost everything.
