I can't do them, for some reason my right elbow makes a strange click sound when i do.
It doesn't hurt but i can "feel" something clicking and i'm worried i'll fuck my elbow up.

I like 'skullcrushers' done on a decline bench (just a slight decline, nothing crazy) with an EZ bar, bringing the bar behind the head, keeping it close to my head though, at the bottom the bar ends up a little behind my head.

I like it better than bringing the bar right over your forehead, which feels dangerous and really limits the ROM. Plus bringing it behind the head you get a stretch on the tris. Gives good triceps DOMS (good if you like DOMS... bad if you don't).

Nothing wrong with push downs but it's so easy to cheat by using the body and lats. Probably better to stick with higher reps on pushdowns (especially if you're prone to cheating).

Can go heavier w/ a tricep extension on a bench because it's harder to cheat.

Yes. Yes they are GOAT. I hate seeing curl bros with shitty tries. Fucking triggered every time. Do sme variations. Ezbar, dumbell, straight bar. Mix in sume dips and enjoy filling out those dress shirts.

Doing 2x12 and the last set do as many as I can (IE to failure) Maybe getting closer to 20 reps for the last set.

yea the progression on GSLP is super useful. I have used it in the past on many things, but they were usually heavy compounds, not assistance work.

I've been doing Skull Crushers since I started, but recently swapped em for bodyweight dips at the end of my workout. Usually 3 x F.
