Will a 500 calorie deficit, achieved via running (or some other aerobic exercise), yield a higher fat loss:lbm loss ratio vs simply eating 500 less calories and remaining sedentary?

yes bcus u will eat more (thermic effect of food), digest more, afterburn affect of exercise will and more healthy in general

the more food u can eat the better
>>
53kg here that never worked for me until I went full anorexia mode

what didn't work

Of course. There are lots of factors at play here and a deficit coming 100% from diet is not the same as a deficit coming 100% from activity.

If you really gave a fuck, you'd go Google this instead of shitposting on /fit/ as actual research and well-written posts on legitimate websites exist.

This.
Create a deficit from both and you should do fine. Just don't go nuts on aerobics for too long in too much of a deficit or it WILL hurt your gains.

>afterburn

pls stop

Thermic effect is practically nothing you stupid goy. It's only ~10%.

So if you eat a meal that has 1000 calories, you will get 900 calories of energy.

You can't burn more calories by eating more food, because the TEF remains constant.
>>
Or how about you use an exercise that utilizes fat as a fuel source such as lifting instead of running which uses carbohydrates?
>>
Technically yeah but that will having your running for about 5 miles every day. Every single day.

Running 35 mile weeks isn't unheard off. Or hell even impressive. But that shit can wear you out. Its going to hurt your lifts. And your never going to give your body a chance to recover. Wouldn't recommend just jumping into that shit.
