>Been lifting four months straight now without a break of any kind
>Starting to feel mentally burnt out
Is it time to take a week off from lifting?
>>36644675
>4 months straight
You... You did take rest days right? If not, good job severely limiting you gains over that time.
>>36644675
>take a week off
>burnt out
See you in 6 months
>Without a break of any kind in my lifting schedule
Fixed.
>>36644686
Okay sorry just wondering why the fuck do people do this stupid shit "You...You (did take rest days right?)" why did you have to say You twice? You're a fucking idiot bro
>>36644749
Y-You too ... senpai.
>>36644749
H-hi captain autismo

>Le overtraining meme
Yeah, guess what it's nearly impossible to overtrain unless you're pushing 4 hours+ of training 7 days per week. Your CNS adapts and you'll be stronger for it. If you're on juice you can even do that.
>>36644749
Y-y-you t-too m-man haha
>>36644950
But overtraining is a thing anon. If you don't take rest days then you're limiting the muscle growth. You can workout everyday, sure, but you'll limit the strength and muscle gains compared to someone that works out 3-4 days a week over the same period.
>>36644950
> I am new to lifting.
>>36644992
Anecdotal horseshit. If your training schedule is rational and properly spaced you can train every god damn day. Oly lifters bang at it 6-7 days per week with 2 sessions.
>>36645022
Ten years and you know that thing what's it called. OH, Research.
>>36644675
It's fine anon, just up your dosages.
>>36645038
Oly lifters are on steroids though
>>36645052
> Posts time and not PBs.
Time under the bar means nothing. 10 years of being a strength novice is going to give you the same impression as a someone lifting for 4 months.
>>36645060
Oly lifting is very low intensity, it's primarily explosive, so they can train for much longer than a power lifter say.
>>36644992
shoo shoo fat lazy blaha.
Why would you prefer to undertrain than to "overtrain"? The overtrain meme is perpetuated by fat lazy blahas who are angry about the minimal gains they make spending 2 hours a week in the gym. As long as you have 2 days between muscle groups you can train as much as you want
>>36644675
What's the program anon? Be more specific.
>>36645149
> assuming the guy is on a bro split
>>36645126
>oly
>low intensity
Now you're just talking out of your ass. And that 'explosiveness' you're talking about comes from fast twitch fibers, which is the same powerlifters train for.

>>36644675
There are routines that tell you to do cycle of the routine where you start light and end light, so it might make sense to take a week of between cycles.
> So many buttmad bros who would spend all week in the gym if they could.

>>36645149
dude some people have other stuff to do than just lifting
someone with a busy life cant spend 2+hours per day for lifting
>>36645149
Holy shit
>being this legitimately new
If you overtrain it's diminishing returns. Your body will engage in hypetrophy only if given time to recuperate. You can't work the same muscle day after day and expect the same gains as every other day. Protein synthesis is important, and takes time
I know for a fact strength training can not be rushed and overtrained without dealing with the consequences
I would. Or at least do a de-load week.
Fatigue can cause all kinds of nasty shit, gave me dead dick for a bit.

>Fatigue can cause all kinds of nasty shit, gave me dead dick for a bit.
Those were the roids and you know it, dont blame fatigue for your limp dick.
>>36645149
you imbecile
that isn't over-training because you've cut a full body 3/4x a week into 45-60min sections and spread them over 6 days
day 1: 100%
day 2: 0%
day 3: 100%
day 4: 0%
day 5: 100%
day 6: 0%
day 7: 100%
vs.
day 1: 60%
day 2: 60%
day 3: 60%
day 4: 0%
day 5: 60%
day 6: 60%
day 7: 60%
Over two weeks, you're completing the same load with either.
I shit on you OP. Just end it all bud.
>>36646199
never gonna make it with that attitude senpai
Why don't we ask 'le 10 years every day lifting' guy to post his body w/ timestamp?
E stat's can be made up, not that he provided any
I lift 6 days a week bros. Am I really limiting my gains? There is no way I could limit myself to just three
