I find I smell more appealing when I eat only organic wholefoods and no factory-produced meat. Even my shit smells totally inoffensive when I eat like that, and the offensive smells come when I eat outside my usual diet eg. once when I made a soup with some leftover broth someone had from cooking chicken for their cats that my next shit smelt really offensive. It's not like a thorough scientific study but I've found that eating only wholefoods (and I almost always eat organic) is correlated to some degree at least with an absence of offensive smells even where you'd expect them.

This is the diet I've noticed it with - fresh fruit, vegetables, dried fruit, nuts, milk and eggs all organic, some seafood and some meat either wild rabbit or outdoor-raised venison.
