'Take it easy' is the best way I can describe what I want you to do. I can see that you're trying way too hard, especially all the breathing and facial expressions. Just take it easy and make it as smooth as you can. One other thing I can see is that your dip right before the jerk is way too slow and WAY too deep. You shouldn't be trying to jump the weight up, you should be trying to give it a little bit of a lift to give you more time to get under the weight. That's the goal: get under the weight. Not to get the weight above your head.

ye i did loads of jerk tekkers at the end, i think ive figured out why my normal jerk lockout is so shit compared with my btn jerk lockout

in btn jerks, theres no scap movement from bar on traps to lockout, and back is tight when bar is on traps

in front of neck i cant retract my scaps cos otherwise the bar would be entirely on my collarbone/windpipe, and theres a delay in moving them to the right place (which doesnt seem to happen with power jerks for some reason) and getting all the muscles tight when bar is overhead + bar often doesnt go to the right place cos not tight

looks like you're relying on your hands a lot to keep the bar on your shoulders because your torso angle is too forward. Might have "felt easy" as in your legs are strong enough but I'd assume grip width is only a factor for you for loads where your form is breaking down.

Maybe. I find closer grip more comfy too. I have the same thing too. I just stretched my internal rotators so I could get my elbows higher with a wider grip, and I started doing FSQ with clean grip. You'll get used to it.

It may also be in part that closer hands can pad the bar more on your shoulders sorta, but it's probably mostly that you just lack the ability to externally rotate your shoulders w/ your elbows in front of you and you cant get your elbows high enough.

So more shoulder flexibility, yes. I used too many words. Its gottabbe 90% flexibility.

Found a great OW gym in my city,
tried a one session a year ago as a complete dyel and it made me realize not only how weak I am but also how fucking stiff I am.

I wanna try and stick to it at least for the next 4 months (money restrained),
what should I do to get the best gains out of it?

what are you looking down for? stop that before you develop that nasty habit permanently. and you are using your arms very early during jerk. push the bar up and allow it to float before pushing.

my best piece of advice is to get fat. your thighs and lower legs are just too long and too thin. extra fat or muscle will help cushion and limit your range of motion to an ideal level. that should prevent you from losing tightness.
