If you are trying to get stronger its perfectly fine, I like to cook about a pound of chicken in curry and pour it over rice and eat it with lavash bread.

If you are trying to lose weight yes it is bad. If you having a stir fry, keep the greens and meat, cut out the sugar for tastiness and white rice. I dont want to make assumptions about your cultural proclivities, but dumplings, fried food, and anything but buckwheat noodles (not the fake ones) are right out.

You can't just isolate and ask to get rid of white rice to lose weight.

Since you're Asian it's likely that meals are cooked for the family. So you can't ask for brown rice as others don't eat it.

You also haven't said how much weight you want to lose and what else you are doing to lose weight.

Wasn't really trying to get rid of white rice completely or anything. Just wanted to know if I should avoid it or if it was fine to eat. Based on other answers it seems like I should try to avoid it to a reasonable degree (not banned from eating it but not preferable right?) I guess I'll have to find food recipes where I don't have to eat rice all the time.
