Took me 3 months lifting to get a 5pl8 deadlift, around 4 for 2pl8 bench and 6 months for 3pl8 squat

I think if you've only been training 2 years and those are your numbers you should definitely consider it. Obviously you should get expert advice from other powerlifters, people you know who use, your doctor, etc, but if you think smashing records is something you'd like to achieve in your life and you're willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that, I'd say it'd be worth it. Or sounds like you'll be pretty damn competitive even if you just stayed natty, your call m8.
You'll have /fit/ behind you whatever you do, make us proud anon.

Not really mane, if you're 200kcals over each day, after a few weeks you'll have gained a little extra weight and you'll know that you should be eating slightly less. If you're 200kcals under each day, you'll know after a few weeks that your weight has stayed the same and you should be eating slightly more.
It's the same as even if you counted your calories every meal, your TDEE will be plus or minus like 300kcals on any given day, your metabolism might be 85% efficient at absorbing nutrients on one day and 95% efficient another day.
In the end, you can't truly predict and then measure the amount of kcals you need in a day, so you use weight gain and fat mass as an indicator of what you need to change. I really don't think it's ever worth being autistic about counting calories or macros unless you're competing in bodybuilding at a high level, or are really struggling to lose weight and need to learn how much kcals in a certain food or whatever.
Just eat man and don't get fat, once you've done it for a while it's not hard and you save a lot of time and fiddling by just eating and not worrying about shit.
