Hey fit, my father once told me, that if I had been going to the gym 2 times a week for a month, and then held a months gym break afterwards, it would be like I never went to the gym in the first place because of loss of muscle mass etc. Is this true?
I can get to 20 seconds. It is a struggle though. Absolutely no way I am getting to 300seconds in 30 days.
You can train for 5 years and when you take a month off you lose everything.
Once you start lifting theres no stopping it.

well you certainly wouldn't look any different. You would probably be SLIGHTLY stronger, a little bit more nervous system efficiency / coordination. More if you never lifted weights or were particularly athletic before. Honestly, a tiny bit of your acquired muscle mass might stick around. Like a completely unnoticeable bit. There's hormonal changes that take place too that take a bit to get back to baseline,

Basically, yeah. I wouldn't take more than a weeks rest if possible ever

I stopped lifting for a couple days and I lost twenty pounds of muscle. There's really no point in even starting. It disappears so quickly...

Yeah it's stupid, I used to do planks as part of my workout and wouldn't progress on them whatsoever. Added maybe 10 seconds in two months. Based on my perfectly anecdotal experience I can say without doubt that this kind of progress is absolutely impossible.

>20 seconds on day 1
>imfuckingplying someone who could only do 20 seconds on day one could do 5 full minutes on day 30
I fell for the troll. Well done whomever made this.

Is planking even worth it for manlets? I did this for like 4 minutes then I just got bored, it's so easy for manlets I could probably last forever

If you can do 4 minutes planks aren't necessary. Your time is best spent elsewhere in the gym.
