Ok /fit/ (forgive me if I sound like a complete noob) I need some advice on balancing caloric intake with my workout regime.

So basically my workout plan consists of a three hour workout of a selected body area (i.e. Legs, Back (lower and upper), Chest, arms, upper body, core) for an entirety of up to four days a week (with an electable one day break after two days), and my calorie intake (according to the Mifflin St Jeor formula) is:

2135 calories (Maintanence)
(Fat loss) 1708
(Extreme fat loss) 1281

Eat a consistent amount, track weight over week. Adjust until equilibrium desired is achieved. Now fuck off.

first off, whatever result you want, you dont need to do allllll that shit to achieve it. its just overkill. i dont think its bad but most of it isnt really going to do much more than burn calories, which.... if could just not eat those calories in the 1st place.

second, so you did it for a year. what about 5 years? 10? surely you will... EVENTUALLY... one day, for whatever reason, end up not doing this, and then when its time to get back on the saddle, you'll be like 'fuuuuck that' and instead of doing something, youll do nothing, because you thought you needed to do all that to keep your physique up to what it was.

figure out your total daily energy expendature (TDEE) is basically resting calorie burn + exercise.

google tdee calculator and read up on it a bit, make sure youre accurate so read a couple places, dont just read up one single page on a site and assume you got it right.

once you get it, eat around 4-500 cal (like your OPost said) below maint.

your extreme loss calorie count will lead to muscle loss and general tiredness/exhaustion, dont do that no matter how tempted you are. that'll fuck your shit up.

Holy shit just eat like 2000 calories mate. Weigh yourself every week and if you start losing weight in a way you don't like, then lower. If you start gaining weight in a way you don't like, then higher. If you want to build muscle, you need a calorie surplus I can't tell you what your fuckin surplus is, none of us can. If you actually train 3hrs a day you probably need anywhere from 2800-3200 calories for a bulk but I don't really know.

Just eat at maintenance and see how it goes. Even after all these posts idk wtf you're trying to accomplish exactly, so I can't give you more specific advice. If you want to lose weight, eat like... 1600 cal maybe? I don't know your height/weight and what type of training you do so it makes it really hard. Big difference between 3 hrs of lifting (which is retarded btw) and 1 hr of liffting with 2 hrs of running. One requires WAY more calories than the other for maintenance/surplus. Just watch your scale and how you feel. If you feel super exhausted all the time and dizzy/cold/passing out, youre not eating enough + exercising too much. If you feel fine, don't worry about it. If you're losing weight, don't worry about it. If you're not, eat less. fuck mate.
