People constantly have polarizing opinions on SS. Some glorify it and some shit on it and talk about PPL. What should I start out with as an exercise plan?

Day 7 you do nothing.
Eat well and you'll be aesthetic as fuck and in good health. Not that strong, but still way stronger than your average joe.

Start as if tomorrow was day 3. Way easier to do this when day 1 falls on monday.
So tomorrow shoulders/legs/cardio. Also eat well. Can't stress this enough.

Just do SS then move to PPL after a couple of months so you have a somewhat not completely shit tier strength base. Your diet is going to affect how you look more than your routine, just throw in some more upper body volume like dips and chin ups if you're that paranoid.

It's still important to do your heavy lifts. Do them first so you're at 100%.
I've been at it for years so I switch my routine a lot but here's an example.
A: DB Bench Press 4x10
Dips 3xF
Inclined flies 4x10
Tricep pushdown 4x10
Skullcrushers 4x10
B: Deadlifts 3x5
Pull-ups 3xF
Lat pulldowns 4x10
Seated rows 4x10
21's (x4)
C: DB Shoulder press 4x10
Squats 3x5
Side lateral raises superset w/ front raises 4x10
Upright barbell rows 4x10
If you're aiming for your typical ottermode build it's the way to go.

If you're just starting literally whatever the fuck you want to do you will make gains.

Read the sticky and start with the modified version of SS that is listed there. The modifications prevent the T-Rex mode that is commonly associated with the original version. PPL is for high level intermediate and advanced lifters. If your a beginner don't do PPL and make sure you eat enough.

It might be a lot of volume if you've never worked out whatsoever but yeah amongst those guidelines. As I said I add 30/45 min of cardio on mondays, wednesdays and fridays + a basic ab routine and basic yoga routine on tue, thu, sat (just youtube them there's plenty around).
SS will make you look like pic related. Google ''ottermode bodybuilding'' and you'll have results for ''my'' way.
Also I repeat, eat well. Not well as in hurr durr 300g protein a day >100g carbs. Well as in well adjusted meals with lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats and fiber.

Doesn't really matter what you do.
Just lift weights. It's not rocket science.
Any program from SS, to brosplits is good.
