Does anyone have any tips or advice for making my shoulders grow better? Inb4 roids
>>
>>35370563
what exercises do you do for shoulders?

ive read that lateral raises (front and side) are what really make shoulders grow, rather than OHP
>>
broadshoulders masterrace here
use picrelated for pissening delts
>>
>>35370563

Cable lat delt raise/front raise/rear delt fly superset, about 5 sets for each movement

Looks trolling but it isn't, the receptors in delts are extremely androgen-dependant, the so called cannon-balls from roiders have a reason to be. Not saying to put yourself instantly in roids, just saying that even low doses of test (300/week) would make a drastic difference.
>Soz mate i dont want to roidz give mez an alternativu
>Synthol.
Nothing will make you have bigger delts if genetically you are not disposed, or at least they will grow at the same rate than calves. (supposing you are out of newbie gains ofc)
>>
>>35370567
I do a beginners strength program but my shoulders are seriouy lagging behind chest and arms
>>
>>35370563
Behind the neck over head press. I get compliments on my delts all the time. I love the look of nice delts myself.
>>
>>35370606
sadly this
>>
>>35370674
Do not do this.

Behind the neck OHP can wreck your shoulder joints. It's a very dangerous movement.
>>
>>35370791
Isn't that true about everything assuming you have bad form?

Never do I see the point in comments like this. Because something could potentially be bad, don't do it? Since lifting could take us to snap city, should we all stop?

https://kinobody.com/workouts-and-exercises/how-to-get-big-shoulders-without-steroids/

ohp your own body weight
lots of side lat raises/cuban presses
>>
>>35370845
It's not about form. The behind the back motion puts the shoulder joint itself in a very bad position.

You need to maximally externally rotate the shoulders to perform the movement correctly. This puts the shoulders in a very vulnerable position that can easily lead to a torn rotator cuff.

For the same reason, you shouldn't do behind the neck pulldowns.

It's not a matter of form. It's just a shit exercise. The risk of injury isn't caused by improperly performing the exercise, it's inherent in the exercise.
>>
>>35370872
also arnold presses..
>>
>>35370872
>kino
>natty

fuck no, dude. don't be an idiot.
>>
>>35370845
The movement IS bad form
>>
>>35370845
only a minority of people have an acromion type that allows that movement without impingement.

it should also be noted that just because you feel fine doing the exercise, doesn't mean you aren't slowly perforating your tendon... shit will come back to bite you in the ass 15-20 years from now, when your rotator cuff function goes to shit.

the risk:reward ratio is fucked, because the reward over OHP is minimal, but the risk is almost guaranteed (even with good form)

Smith BNP 6x12 w/ drops
Neutral grip db press 4-6x8-12 w/ drops
Heavy partials on lateral raises 4x12 superset with light lateral raise 4x12
Seated L-raise lateral raise (90 degree bend in arm) 6x12

That's about all I do. I have OHP'd 245x3 though.

>but jason blaha said you can't be lean and natty!

he is almost 10lb under the natty limit for his bodyfat% according to
https://symmetricstrength.com/calculator/ideal_bodyweight

and he provides pretty good research showing the need for less protein, and that you can maintain proper hormone function with sufficient exogenous SFA intake, and enough dietary carbohydrates.

i haven't seen a real argument against his natty status, except blaha-tier understandings of nutritional science.

Hmm alright. Thanks for sharing the information. It's obviously important. I've been doing them for a while and i've yet to have any uncomfortable sensations.

>>35370894
Was just about to ask a question but this post has already answered it.

Thanks guise.

either way, heavy presses are the best way to get big shoulders as a natural lifter.

What about standard OHP; in front of the neck?

Is that alright?

>>35370982
yes, it is absolutely fine, if preformed with proper form.

arnold presses are a little risky, if you go overboard with the external rotation. and dumbbell presses in general can be in the frontal plane instead of the scapular plane, and that can fuck your shit up.

but again, with proper form, that is a non-issue.
>>
>>35371007
Thank you, honestly. Much obliged for the info.
>>
I've always heard (and found out) shoulders were the slowest to progress. Here's what I do OP, I get steady progress using this.

OHP 5x5
Lateral Raises 3x10-12
Front Raises 3x10-12
Seated press 3x8
Face pulls 3x10-12

Also have good experience with the Arnold press

My delts have always been a pretty strong musclegroup in terms of growth. I just OHP and did laterall raises and front raises.

I also did alot of wide group pull ups wich I know donĀ“t primarily target the delts but they always got a nice pump after doing pull ups.
>>
>>35371007
90% of fucks do shoulder presses in the frontal plane. Being someone that has had shoulder issues their whole life, it hurts me to see others do it

Never forget your rear delts. I only say that because I see so many people with underdeveloped rear delts all the fucking time. It adds considerably to the overall impression.
>>
>>35372250
Your elbows stay in front of your shoulders and you don't flare them out
>>
Does anyone else's mouth spaz the fuck out when doing a shoulder exercise?
>>
>>35371274
When you do face pulls is your body meant to be perfectly vertically straight? I did it for the first time last week and found myself having to lean back quite a bit and wasn't sure if this was bad form.
>>
>>35370563
God damn ARNOLD PRESSES
>>
>>35372567
Arnold presses just force you to pause.

As for OP, my front delts exploded when I got serious about OHP.
>>
These hybrid Arnold presses, use heavy weights.

And Cuban presses
