Leggings are comfortable as fuck, I don't care what you say OP.

I get weird looks when I wear them under shorts, I usually wear them under sweat pants

Because of NBA probably, dudes wear shorts there because they have uniforms and they have to wear em, and so do they wear those pressure shorts or leggings or whatever.

When it was cold outside most people on the football team would wear shorts over tights.

Just like you would wear a under armour beneath your pads.

I do this, but only when running in the winter. Leggins are more comfortable than long pans, but my ass sometimes gets cold wearing them (mostly due to wind) - so I get some shorts for additional buttwarm.
