Hey /fit/. I'm a 6'2" 300 lb landmammoth and I decided I wanted to get fit. I basically haven't exercised more than walking around the house for the past year and a half. I can't even a full 5x5 set of normal squats, let alone with weights. So my question is, what is the first step? Cardio? Upper Body?

eat less swimming is good exercise.Even just floating around, though at 300lbs your best bet is to ask a doctor.Is the problem that you lose your breath lifting weights?If not machines for lower body I mean its obvious squats are hard at your weight.

Walk more and do low stress exercises until you lose weight or you'll fuck up your knees with jogging or running.
Eat less and adjust your intake as your weight goes down.

This thread's probably long dead, but 6'3" ex-fatty here. Went from 290lbs to a current 180lbs since March of this year. The only liquid you should be ingesting is water, and foods should all be as homemade and low-ingedient as possible if they come in boxes, cans or packages. Cardio works well, but take it from me, lift while you are cutting calories or you'll just end up a "flabby loser" like it says in the sticky (which you should be reading).
