Is his form good or is he arching his back? It looked to me like really bad form but I'm not an expert. Didn't see anyone calling him out on it either and he was posting it like he was bragging.

Is 4pl8 an impressive deadlift? I could do 5pl8 when I was bulkan hard but after losing 45lbs I can do only pl8 although recently I feel like I can do 4.5pl8 as a max
>>35199235
depends on your weight
for the average person no
>>35199205
>https://twitter.com/llRicoSuavell/status/674775537953464320
this is significant rounding, hitched, bounced and hes a turbo manlet
this is embarrasing
>>35199235
how do you have odd plates
>>35199235
I weigh 175 lbs, been going to the gym for 1.5 years and I can one rep 410 lbs. I could probably go heavier but I'd like to keep my ego in check to avoid injuries.
I would say for the average person you see on the street, yes. It is impressive. It's whatever to someone who's been lifting for a while.
>>35199266
how to tell you go to a shit gym
20kg bumpers and 10kg bumpers are pretty standard at nice gyms even in burgerland
>>35199266
Plate counts are by how many plates are on one side. 4 plate is actually 8 plates, 5 plate is actually 10 plates.
>>35199205
I would say his form is bad due to the rounding of the back and the fact that he's going touch and go.
>>35199235
Error - can do 4pl8 now**
>>35199205
looks like he is lifting more with his back than his hammies and glutes. Bad form.
Form is bad, "haven't done these in a while lol just wanna show my twitter followers how weak I've gotten lollll I haven't been doing these for the last 8 months secretlyyyy"
Fucking faggot man
I weigh 185 and DL 465 for 5. And I know that's only okay.
How do I improve grip strength I'm only a little passed 1pl8 and it threatens to slip out of my hands once I get to the 4th or 5th rep.
>>35199248
4pl8 is Not impressive to the average person?
Surprised how big he is for as bad at everything as he is.
https://twitter.com/llRicoSuavell/status/674487750544990208
I actually started trying to perfect DL form so I don't get hurt (when I actually do them with heavy weight.)
It looks like his back is rounded, when he locks out he isn't straight and his knees are still bent. His feet look too closer together
Never Forget
>>35199347
I mean to a normal person you're a god
by normal person I meant regular person who is serious about lifting
>>35199356
Just started lifting for the first time in my life anon. Need guidance early on so I don't fuck up later on down the line.

>>35199372
Thanks for clearing that up. Not being able to continue pulling 5pl8, everytime I do my 4pl8 I feel like the gym expects more of me since I'm 6'4, 200lbs.
Deadlifting threads are the worst kind of self-fellating shitholes.
>yeah i deddy like 10pl8 i know its shit but whatever i used to do 20pl8 but tore my scrotum so i'm doing 10 while i recover hoping to get to 15 tomorrow
I'd honestly rather people who brag about how much they lift than faggots who try to play the fake modesty game.
>>35199248
4 plates is solid if you're not competing. Stop being a fucking e-stat faggot.

literally never left my hands till my last one where tbf I did actually throw it down but I was p excited
>>35199436
nothing wrong with wearing a belt and pulling sumo but slamming the weight down like that is pleb tier
>>35199450
>my hands were around the bar so i totally didn't let it fall down
>>35199454
Sumo is easier than conventional deadlift. Don't bitch about people's DL when you can only boast with sumo/belt
>>35199454
You know he only did it because he knew the qt was mirin
>>35199403
You're a massive fucking faggot. Go slap yourself queer.

>>35199467
I didn't bitch about anything, I'm clearly not the OP of that video you retard.
>>35199467
no its not lol my conventional is way stronger than sumo.
>>35199467
>Sumo is easier than conventional deadlift.
I love this meme
I'd love to hear about how anons jerk and tug adventure is much harder then the complicated and technical lift that sumo is, your "ive been here less than 6 months" is showing
also what retard does the eccentric slowly thats an awesome way to get an injury with no real benefit to the exercise other than getting better at lowering it
>>35199205
Literally didn't lock out even once.
>>35199502
How new are you?
>>35199514
approaching 2 years going to the gym
PL training since last year
>>35199502
Not that sumo is necessarily easier, but it is not that much more "complicated and technical" than conventional.
>>35199450
It's funny, it really shows how much power you can put into the deadlift when such a skinny guy can pick up 190kg like that.
I mean, I do it as a standard deadlift for 5, but I weigh 185 and I'm reasonably lean.
>>35199502
>>35199514
He's right though. Though sumo typically nets higher numbers, there are a ton of bigtime powerlifters who can pull more conventional. I personally started off able to pull more conventional, then my sumo numbers got higher, and now my conventional pull has risen to the top again. Mostly because sumo is pretty damn technical and I still have a hard time getting my technique down correctly while maintaining explosiveness.
is dj muscle boy's form shitty???
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy14vrK2YYs
>>35199563
its not on accident that you see a trend of the lighter weight classes with overwhelming % of lifters doing sumo while the higher weight classes do conventional
sumo will usually benefit short lighter guys who can get their hips really close to the bar, have a shorter range of motion, and have really strong quads in relation to everything else(short femurs)
conventional will benefit larger lifters who can just straight up generate more power and rip the shit
of course there are exceptions this is generally the case
>>35199502
There's a shorter range of motion when you do sumo faggot. You lift the bar higher with conventional than you do with sumo.
Sumo is for lanklets with long lanky legs. You're clearly a manlet.
>>35199609
>Sumo is for lanklets with long lanky legs.
are you fucking retarded?
you very obviously know nothing of how sumo works and go off of what /fit/ memes tell you and you should probably stop posting
also this >MUH ROM thing works the opposite way when you have long armed conventional lifters
>>35199681
>HAHAHA I TROLL3D U, Y U MAD
is this reddit
>>35199641
>also this >MUH ROM thing works the opposite way when you have long armed conventional lifters
>butthurt manlet detected.
If those same people who are doing conventional deadlifts with their long arms, then it doing sumo would still reduced the range of motion even more due to their feet stance and long arms.
Fucking faggot. Go learn how to deadlift the correct way.

Is my form good?
>>35199908
yes it looks very good, only thing I could reccomend would be sitting back a little more because your shoulders are forward past the bar a little bit and dont hyper extend to lockout
>>35199908
>>35199953
actually your shoulders look fine too
wonky angle
I see no problem other than the hyperextended lockout
>>35199953
>>35199984
Got it! Thanks, senpai.
>>35199379
Get a pair of 45lb dumbells, one in each hand, and go walk as far as you can until they literally fall out of your hands. Rest for a couple minutes, repeat until you can crush coconuts.
