I'm 5'6" and 185lbs at the moment. Used to be 240. They say im between 22 and 27 percent body fat.
What do I do to lose more fat and gain muscle for my body type?

Meant more specific workout routines. I've been doing HIIT training recently and it works well. But I was wondering if there was anything else I could do.

I've cut 5% of my body fat in 8 weeks with a very strict diet, HIIT, and bro split. But I do deads and squats 3 times a week.

Sounds good. Just keep going. It's less about how you train and more about how you eat.
I usually end my workouts whether it be legs or chest or whatever with a one rep max

Yeah i pack on weight after eating like a mother. I was at 177 at my lightest these past few months and a week of eating bad and it wasn't alot just dirty eating and i got to 190 quickly

I don't think you're supposed to do that with those squat-a-lot programs like SS or whatever other guy was describing. I do'em each twice a week.
