To answer the thread question with a bit of actual thought.

Science tells us that a wide gene pool effectively gives you better genes.

How do we apply this to the question? Well we need to think geographically.

The native people of australia/nzd etc have shit genes. This is common sense. Just look at them. But it also makes sense. They bred with their own kind, and only their own kind. And this is supported by the fact that they invented nothing. Achieved nothing.

Now, look at the germans. Gemany is in the heart of europe and for the longest time split into many, many, many smaller factions. All fighting with each other. Lots of war rape. Lots of invaders from other lands. Lots of travelers and merchants from a far.

This is supported by the fact that the germans clearly have superior genes. Hitler knew it. Lots of people know it now. They are masters of engineering. High natty potential. Tall. Good looking. Etc.

Then you can look for less obvious examples.

Scotland. Located at the north west point of europe. For travelers and settlers from afar, this was where they could travel no further.

No further north or west to sail. And settlers didn't like traveling backwards after hitting a dead end.

Again, these can be turned into examples of actual accomplishment. Although lacking the good looks of the german master race. The scots have accomplished great feats. As a whole people, and with individuals. Other than great genes, it would defy logic for the scots to have thrived and accomplished so much and to have invented so many things.
