Start 3 mins on the elliptical.
Add 5 second every session
For to 15 minutes before and after.
Magically it all clicked.

It's a meme, but it's based in some truth.

Endurance training causes a release of a chemical that blocks mTOR, which in turn inhibits the protein synthesis usually brought on by resistance training.

It doesn't "kill" your gains per se, just slows the progress you would usually make.
