Can an individual cover his daily protein intake without shakes? If daily protein intake = bodyweight in kg then I need around 75g per day

Achievable with a normal diet?
(normal = a normalfag diet without special care for brotein-rich meals)

When I was living on campus and had a meal plan, I accidentally ate 200g of protein a day because I would eat two chicken breasts with every meal.

I'd say it's possible, but it's expensive. If you got the money for it, go for it. But nothing really beats the protein per dollar of whey or tuna.
>>
>>34900913
daily protein intake should be g/lb bodyweight not kg
>>
>>34900913
> 75 grams protein

Thank you no gains.
>>
I get 250g+ of protons a day purely from diet which is probably 100g more than I need but that's just the way it worked out with what I can stomach.

I honestly don't get how anyone who isn't a 6'5" fat fuck even needs supplements.

Are you sure you are measuring the macros correctly? Do you eat eggs-tuna-chicken every day?

>>34901809
I'm happy with a click above otter desu senpai. 75g should be enough. I don't want to scoop though
>>
>>34900913
Whey protein is literally a cheese industry waste product that some crafty entrepreneur ended up selling to gullible teenagers looking to build muscle.

People have been getting big and strong before supplements existed. If you are honestly having trouble hitting your protein needs through food alone, then you need to stop eating poptarts and soda.

Tuna, chicken and Greek yougurt, plus peanut butter, nuts, oats and other goodies plus about 1l of milk, mostly with the oats.
>>
>>34903122
People have also been eating whey for millennia breh. Eating it isn't new, the only new thing is the powder form.
>>
I prefer using whey cos student life brah

If I had the money though, high quality meats 24/7
>>
>>34903122

still cheaper than meat so what's your beef(lol)

if I can save money, I save money. simple as
>>
>>34903358
Chicken breast is pretty damn cheap; cheaper than a lot of whey. The generic cheap protein staples (eggs, tuna, peanut butter) are all comparable in price to whey.
>>
>>34903401
maybe in murica, land of the free

I can get 5kg (23.6g/30g) whey for 29 brit dollars, the equivalent in
bulk bought chicken breasts would cost 1.5-2x more at least

then again the whey I get is dirt cheap so Im pretty happy
>>
>>34900913
Ask the 64kg who ate 200g protein today anything

>>
>>34903122

>>
>>34900913
Yes easily. I can easily get 50+ grams in 1 meal. Protein shakes arent necessary.
>>
>>34900913
I can get 120g+ of protein a day with my tiny calorie intake. Just stock up on cottage cheese, baked beans, milk, tuna, eggs, and meats like chicken breast and steak. It's easy af to get 75g.

http://nourishedkitchen.com/bone-broth/

I bought some bones to make soup and looking at making bone broth now. According to these blogs, it's quite high in protein and gelatine. Haven't been able to find actual nutritional information and amounts.
>>
I made some bars that were really good:

>some dates (the medjool kind, got to be moist)
>handful of peanuts
>peanut butter

Chop up the dates and preblend and then add the peanuts and peanut butter and mix until it's a bit thicker than Play-Doh. Adjust the dates/peanut butter as you want.

Get a glass baking pan and put the mix in there and push it down really hard. (I have a small plastic measuring cup that's flat and just press it down.) Put in freezer for a few hours, bring it out and cut it up. Store in fridge.

>expensive
Two cup containers of cottage cheese and two little containers of Greek yogurt mixed together is 18g fat, 32g carb and 76g protein totalling 600cal and costs $1.31 for the cottage cheese and $3.70 for four yogurts. This comes to $3.16 per day. I will also note that it is delicious as fuck, like eating some kind of dessert loaded with protein.
