I took two days off because I was sick. The first day back my snatches looked pretty good except that I couldnt into bottom position.

Possible attempt at 130 clean and jerk today but having come back from being sick i'd like to hit 120 minimum.

Will also probably front squat 145 or 150. I completely forgot how to back squat for some reason.

Question:
I'm having pain near my patellar tendon/right behind my patella when I squat. It's on one knee only and it hurts when I put any weight on it, but not when walking around or sitting/standing normally. It just sort of happened out of nowhere. I can't squat or front squat at all, but strangely it doesn't hurt when I do my olympic routine. Cleans and jerks and snatches are painless. Is this tendinitis or something? Also, my coach says my squat and front squat forms are good and shouldn't be causing any problems. What could it be?

I can do 4x8 @ 100 kg front squats with my knee sleeves on, but when I take them off I can barely do 4x5 at the same weight.

No knee sleeves it is!

I'd honestly say I get about 20 kg or so out of my SBD's on the back squat. They aren't even tight, considering I can get them on bare skin no problem. Without knee sleeves my bottom position is so much weaker, I feel like I get a huge rebound out of the sleeves at the bottom of my back squat. Without the sleeves I am forced to go much deeper to achieve the same "tightness" in my quads.

My coach has a couple female athletes that are very flexible and bottom out on back squats often. It's led to them having back pain and other problems. His solution has to let them go atg on front (due to catching cleans) but just parallel for back squats because of the pain.
I'm not sure if that's why China does it, but could be why.

Caladan knows a ton of stuff, he's one of the most helpful trips here.

Strong doesn't always have to mean knowledgeable and weak doesn't have to mean that he knows nothing. Caladan helped me with so much things, particularly injury rehab and form advice.

I broke the leg extension on my bench a while ago I used to do:
4x10 squats
4x10 leg extensions
4x10 hamstring curls
I can no longer do leg extensions and curls anymore so do I replace them with more squats? Would that be too many squats?

So? Working all day on your feet and being tired is a problem. Not having expendable income to spend on massages and ice baths is a problem. Not having a coach is a problem. Only seeing a coach once a week is a problem. Having your shoes split is a problem. Going to a gym where the bars don't spin is a problem. There's loads of big problems that could limit you.
