As a recovering fat body I have some insight on this.
And the answer is yes fat people are scum.
I'm willing to bet almost 100% of the time it's just laziness and a lack of desire and willpower to change.
It also gets worse as time goes on and weight goes up eventually something that would have been jarring and shocking 5 years and one hundred pounds ago seems way less abnormal.

I never thought I was really that fat I had a beard and moustache for about 2 years and then I shaved it off one day and realized just how fat I was
I had seen the rest of my body get bigger but I had seen it happen slowly so it never phased me or sunk in.
But when I shaved for the first time in two years I suddenly realized that I had a double chin that I had not had before and then everything clicked.

I've been eating better and jogging everyday and I feel a thousand times better because of it.

Idk if its just water weight or not but I know I do feel better since I cut most of the shit out a my diet.
the first 2 days where no big deal
but day 3 is when i felt like shit.
I tried going from 14-6 cans of pop a day to 0. That was a bad idea, I actually went to see my GP because I thought I was legitimately going to die. He told me it was withdrawals, and that stopping all that shit at once was a bad idea.
I only drink one can of pop a day and the headaches are finally going away.when I dont get them anymore im going to be 100% off pop.

Cutting junk food has not been hard in the im addicted sense, basically I just wake up earlyer and make my lunch instead of buying one when im out or ordering take out at work.

Exercise wise im still working up. I jog between 30 min to 1 hour a day
plus I doubled the distance I walk my dog so that's about another 4 blocks a day walking

Another big thing I'm doing is actually paying attention to the calories I'm eating I figured I was probably eating about 7000 calories a day in just food and I should have that cut down between 2000 to 3500

Last but not least I stop making excuses. And I stop trying to justify or explain why I'm fat

I eat 800Cal deficit trying to get my bf% below 20% for the time since...ever...and after a couple weeks I feel pretty depleted and have to go back to eating maintenance while working out for a while. 1000Cal+ deficit is unsustainable and will sap lean mass as much as it does muscle, dude. Be careful, remember you're in it for the long haul, think about what kind of lifestyle you can maintain for a year, then only slightly alter to be able to sustain for the rest of your life.
